A DASH of country life came rumbling around Enniskillen recently with a very well supported fundraising Tractor Run on December 11.

Despite the threat of rain, a terrific turnout of both tractors and onlookers alike made the run a hit with all involved, as close to 200 tractors took to the streets of the busy market town.

Setting off from Stuart’s car park at the Sligo road, the tractors – many of which had Christmas lights and decorations, as did several drivers – made their way around the town, delighting onlookers galore as the kilometres ticked past on their lengthy drive.

The earthly efforts of some of the finest of Fermanagh’s farming folk was all in aid of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland – the airbound charity that enjoys great support from Enniskillen people and other communities across County Fermanagh.

The colourful turn-out with such a big amount of participants and onlookers was a very welcome and big-hearted sight around the town, showing some of the tireless community spirit in the region.
