IT MAY be eight months away but a trek across 125km of the rugged and remote wilderness of the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa in one week will need plenty of preparation for three local men.
David Donaldson and Richard Mullan, who are both firefighters in Enniskillen, and Jonathan Curtis of LE Graphics have begun their rigorous training schedule which will prepare them for the eight to 10 hours a day trek in 100 degrees heat in South Africa next year. But they have a goal to achieve. All three are supporting the fundraising venture for Action Cancer.
David Donaldson said: “Participating in the trek is a physical challenge for all of us, we have already started a rigorous schedule build our fitness levels.”
The men hope to raise £10,000 for Action Cancer.
