On Sunday, October 2, Clones Church of Ireland will host SEFF's 10th Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving. The theme of the Service is; 'Acknowledging hidden victims of ‘The Troubles’ throughout the Republic of Ireland'.

Kenny Donaldson, SEFF's director of services said: "For several years SEFF has provided support to innocents impacted across that jurisdiction; whether Police, Army, Prison Service or civilians and also reaching those impacted by both republican and loyalist terrorism, whether impacted within the Republic of Ireland or those victimised elsewhere and who have since moved to the Irish Republic".

"Sunday's Service will offer acknowledgement and recognition to individuals who have been all but forgotten by officialdom, who are denied services and access to supports which are available to their northern counterparts. There will also be substantive numbers of victims/survivors who have been impacted by violence across Northern Ireland, (and particularly Fermanagh).

"SEFF's ethos is clear; denominational religion and politics has the potential to divide but that it's our values that unite us. We are appealing for the community to come behind this Service and to attend in large numbers come Sunday," concluded Mr. Donaldson.

The service will start at 3pm in Clones St. Tighernach Church of Ireland, Co. Monaghan with preacher Rev. Roy Taylor leading. Refreshments to follow in The Creighton Hotel, Clones.
