The modernised Bank of Ireland Enniskillen branch recently hosted a ‘meet the team’ event, with Andy Palmer, branch manager, welcoming customers and representatives from local community organisations to take a tour of the newly-modernised branch, followed by a reception.
The refurbishment is part of the £7m investment in branches and new technology services in Northern Ireland which were announced by the bank last year.
Those in attendance included Ciaran Rooney, Managing Director of Fermanagh Rural Community Initiative (FRCI) – a local organisation that works to make employment accessible to all.
FRCI were recently supported by Bank of Ireland through its Begin Together Community Funding initiative, enabling them to invest in digital training to help build digital capability and confidence in the local area.
The training is ensuring that participants can make the digital era an integral part of their day-to-day living and bring what they learn to their own communities and support others.
