Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark has launched an exciting programme of events through to July.

The programme includes a number of key highlights, including Dark Skies with Armagh Observatory and Planetarium on Saturday, February 18.

Enjoy a planetarium show as Armagh Planetarium brings a star dome to Belcoo Community Centre. Experience spinning galaxies, swirling nebulae and shooting stars, and then join Geopark Staff to learn about meteorites and take part in a meteorite experiment.

Have fun making space-themed arts and crafts, creating a souvenir of the day.

Enjoy a wide range of activities at the Killykeen Fun Day on Sunday, March 19 in Killykeen Forest Park. Go on the hunt for minibeasts and fossils, learn more about the forest on a guided walk, or explore the area by bike or canoe/kayak from Cavan Adventure Centre.

Celebrate World Heritage Day on Saturday, April 15 at Cavan Burren Park Family Fun Day with nature arts and crafts, guided tours and fossil activities for children.

As part of European Geoparks Network Week, the Geopark is hosting a Family Fun Day at Killykeegan Nature Reserve on Saturday, May 27. Explore the outdoors with a guided walk and then relax indoors by the fire with storytelling and tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
