It was a great night for Fermanagh at the Northern Ireland Country Music Awards 2023 with a number of local acts taking home awards.

This year's event took place on Tuesday, February 7 in the Tullyglass Hotel, Ballymena, with the winners, which were voted for by the public, announced on the night alongside performances from a range of Northern Ireland's favourite Country artists.

Flying the flag for Fermanagh were Derek Ryan, who was named Best Male Artist and Best Songwriter on the night and Lisa McHugh, who took home Best Female Artist.

Best Country Album went to Nathan Carter for his latest release 'The Morning After'. The Country star also scooped Best Music Video for the album's title track which featured a cameo from the Irish Queen of Country Philomena Begley.

Derek Ryan's Band was also recognised on the night with the award for Best Live Band.

Rising star Rachel McConnell from Derrygonnelly won the Female Newcomer Award and co-host of the event, Malcolm McDowell from Brookeborough was voted Favourite Live Event Compere.

Popular local band The Tumbling Paddies were presented with the award for Favourite Folk Group, rounding off the great success for Fermanagh on the night.
