Over the past year, Enniskillen Ladies Circle have been raising money and awareness for PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity, which provides a very valuable and much needed resource in the Tyrone and Fermanagh area, based at ASDA Enniskillen Community rooms.

Outlining the work of the charity, a PIPS spokesperson said: “At PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity, we provide expert, free, unlimited face-to-face counselling services to those families, friends and colleagues touched by suicide.

“We provide support right across all of Northern Ireland through our hubs in Belfast, Derry and Enniskillen, and we provided 15,057 sessions to clients during the last year.

“PIPS Charity focuses on providing free counselling which is accessible for all; we provide a crisis walk-in service with no restrictions on the number of sessions for clients in need, and this model helps us to make the biggest difference, ensuring no client’s future is limited.

“We support families with their emotional and psychological needs to ensure they have the skills, confidence and strength they need help during those dark times – which can be a lifeline for many.”

This month, Enniskillen Ladies Circle are holding their final fundraiser of the season, to raise money and create awareness of the fantastic facility which is available right on our doorstep.

The fundraising event, which doubles up as a birthday party night for Enniskillen Ladies Circle (who are celebrating five years as a chartered group within the international organisation, Ladies Circle), will take place on Saturday, March 25 at Level 7 in Blakes of the Hollow.

Starting at 9pm, the event will feature live music from The Hand me Downs, and a raffle supported by local businesses who have kindly donated prizes.

“Our fantastic local band, The Hand me Downs, will be playing music on the night and if last year’s gig is anything to go by, it promises to be a great night full of fun, music and banter,” said an Enniskillen Ladies Circle spokesperson, adding: “We look forward to seeing you all there.”

Tickets are available from Fermanagh Cottage Industries, any of the Enniskillen Ladies Circle members, or via the PayPal link which can be found on the group’s Facebook page, @enniskillenlc. The Early Bird ticket price ends on March 15.
