Sinn Féin restructured its Assembly team to bring a sharp focus on delivery in the new mandate First Minister Designate Michelle O’Neill announced last week.
The moves were in preparation for a possible return to Assembly business.
In Fermanagh and South Tyrone, the three Sinn Féin MLAs – Jemma Dolan, Aine Murphy and Colm Gildernew – have all seen a change in roles as part of the restructure.
Miss Dolan, who was the party’s spokesperson on Workers’ Rights, is now the spokesperson for Carers/Disability and Older People.
Miss Murphy will take on the role of spokesperson for Rural Communities.
Colm Gildernew, the party’s former Health spokesperson, is now Finance spokesperson.
Speaking about the restructure, Miss O’Neill said: “I am confident that with the refreshed Sinn Féin Assembly team, working with other MLAs in the committees and the Assembly Chamber, we can provide the type of political leadership and delivery that was evident in the last months of the last Assembly mandate.”
