Recently the Erne District Chinese Families’ and Friends Association celebrated their first Chinese New Year after the pandemic and now have started teaching Mandarin to a group of children in St. Michael’s Church Hall in Enniskillen.
The chairperson of the group, Jessica Thi-Chaffey, said: “We are very happy with this opportunity to teach our young people Mandarin.
“We have started with a group of nine children and have arranged for a Chinese tutor from Belfast to teach once a week, and we are very grateful to the National Lottery Pilot Project for BME groups, and the players, for funding our association.”
