This Easter break there’s plenty of entertainment on offer for all ages at the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen.

This evening (Thursday), Ulster Youth Opera offer a fantastic opportunity for young performers to work with professional singers, directors and pianists to build vocal, acting and movement skills while learning about this amazing art form.

No music reading ability or singing grades are required – just join in and enjoy the magical world of opera! Sessions run at the Ardhowen on Thursday, April 6 at 5pm for children aged between 8 to 13 years old, and at 7pm for children aged between 14 to 18 years old.

Have you got your tickets yet for Enniskillen Theatre Company’s upcoming production of ‘Moll’, by J B Keane?

This hilarious comedy is set in a rural presbytery in Kerry, where the newly-appointed housekeeper, Moll, takes over a parish house with a “divide and conquer” strategy.

It’s not long until Moll has the canon wrapped around her little finger, providing him with sumptuous meals and lots of attention, while the curates struggle to survive on restricted diets and Moll’s strict methods of house management.

Starring a hugely talented local cast including Christine Maher Irvine as Moll, Damian McGirr as The Canon, Conor Friery as Father Brest, Padraig Connolly as Father Loran, Sean Murphy as The Bishop, Aideen McNamara as Bridgie and Marty Quinn as Ulik, performances take place nightly at 8pm from Thursday, April 6 to Saturday, April 8.

Fermanagh Art Club is back for another fun children’s workshop, entitled ‘Splash Into Spring’, on Saturday, April 8 at 10am and 1.30pm.

Guided by professional artist and art teacher Gail Turner, the children will learn a range of painting techniques that will help build skills in the medium of acrylics.

All materials are supplied, and each participant will leave with their very own painting.

Comedy duo and internet sensation, The Dirt Birds present their hilarious new show, ‘No Filters’, on Thursday, April 13 at 8pm.

‘No Filters’ takes a close look at the barrage of nonsense we are subjected to on a daily basis and reminds us that despite what we’re told, there is no such thing as ‘perfect’; note that this show contains strong language.

Nick Cope is a natural entertainer, who loves performing for children. His live performances are legendary.

He has been writing and recording his beautiful and totally unique songs for children for more than 10 years and he has a fanatical army of little (and not-so-little) fans from all over the world.

If you haven’t heard his songs or seen his shows before, come along to the Ardhowen on Saturday, April 15 at 2pm and find out what you’re missing.

The Ardhowen is welcoming back Clanabogan Drama Circle with the comedy ‘A Wake In The West’, by Michael Ginnelly, on Wednesday, April 19 at 8pm.

Set in the northwest of Ireland, ‘A Wake In The West’ is a fast-paced hugely comedic play centred around the wake of local man Tom Healy.

His controversial last request (for his ashes to be scattered at sea) threatens to humiliate his family and make them the laughing stock of the small fishing village in which they live – and with scenes of side-splitting laughter guaranteed, you’ll never look at a set of false teeth in the same way again ...
