On Thursday, February 16, the pupils and staff of St. Columban’s Primary School, Belcoo warmly welcomed all grandparents to a special assembly.
The performance was based around the theme of St. Patrick but also included some thoughtful and poignant moments giving thanks to these wonderful people in their lives.
A huge crowd was in attendance, and they were entertained with song, dance, poem, facts and jokes. After the assembly each and every pupil presented their grandparent with a special homemade gift.
St. Columban’s principal, Liam Magee said it truly was a wonderful occasion seeing two generations celebrate together.
