A range of ‘eggs-citing’ activities took place across the county over the Bank Holiday Weekend, with many families enjoying a ‘hoppy’ Easter at Fermanagh’s popular attractions.

There was plenty of fun in Lisnaskea on Saturday, April 8 at Share Discovery Village’s Easter Eggstravaganza.

Alongside an adventurous egg hunt that ran throughout the day, there was a bouncy castle, face painting, balloon modelling, Easter-themed crafts and a competition for best children’s fancy dress.

On Easter Monday (April 10), there was a fun-filled day for all the family at the Fermanagh National Trust property of Florence Court, where there was an Easter trail, face painting, live music, a BBQ in the Stable Yard and much more.

A highlight for many a child on the day was the special guest appearances of the much-loved Beatrix Potter characters, Lily Bobtail and Peter Rabbit.

Despite the changeable weather, there was a great attendance at the annual Easter Monday Picnic in the Park at Forthill Park in Enniskillen on April 10.

The afternoon played host to an Easter egg trail, Easter chicks, traditional games, music from the bandstand, Jo-Jingles, traditional craft and hula-hooping.

Cole’s Monument was also open, offering those brave enough to climb to the top the opportunity to see Galbraith Lowry Cole up close.

An ‘eggs-cellent’ weekend of Easter festivities was enjoyed by many.
