A great night of entertainment awaits as St. Ninnidh’s Primary School PFG host a Lip Sync Challenge at 8pm on Saturday, April 29 in the Kilmore Hotel, Cavan to raise funds for the development of the school’s facilities.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We as the parents, staff and friends of St. Ninnidh’s PS wish to help make our children’s dream of a usable play space a reality.
“After consultation with the staff, pupils and parents of St. Ninnidh’s PFG, we wish to develop zoned, accessible school grounds that can not only be used by our pupils, but also by the wider community as well.”
The proposed new school grounds offer flexibility of use and aim to enhance learning opportunities that would further develop the social skills, gross motor and co-ordination skills of all pupils.
It includes the development of a biodiversity and pollinator space, a 3G pitch, sensory garden, school garden, outdoor classroom, a nature trail, the provision of a soft-play area with child-friendly wooden equipment, the installation of ‘buddy benches’ and the redevelopment of the front yard area from a car park to safe playground for all.
