A fantastic night was had by all who attended the sold-out Charity Variety Concert held at Cavanacarragh Hall, Lisbellaw recently, which raised £5,000 for MPN Voice.

The concert, which took place on Friday, April 14, was organised by Marie McKenna in aid of MPN Voice – a charity that provided great support for local woman Orlagh Goodwin following her diagnosis of Essential Thrombocythemia, a rare type of blood cancer categorised as a Myeloproliferative Neoplasm (MPN).

The concert featured a range of talented local singers, bands and dancers, and there was also a raffle and auction on the night.

Speaking to The Impartial Reporter, Marie said: "The night was a great success with all acts performing brilliantly.

"The auction and draw also provided much needed funds for MPN," she added, noting that a total of £5,000 was raised for the charity on the night.

"The Goodwin family sincerely thank everyone who donated the auction items, the prizes for the draw, the acts who gave of their time freely on the night, Sean Mc Caffrey (auctioneer), Sean Bogue (MC), Jack Bogue (lights and sound), Cavanacarragh Community Association for the use of the hall, and all the sponsors and all those who came on the night or gave donations."
