A case in which it is alleged a man is accused of attempted sexual communication with a child is to be heard at Crown Court.

Kevin James McKenna (41) from Trillick Road, Ballinamallard, is accused of committing the offence on October 10 last year for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.

It is further alleged he misused a communications network by sending a message which was indecent.

At the most recent sitting of Dungannon Magistrates Court, a prosecuting lawyer said a decision has been taken to proceed in indictment.

District Judge Michael Ranaghan remanded McKenna on continuing bail to attend again on May 24 when a date is to be fixed for a committal hearing to formally transfer to Crown Court for trial.
