A driver was arrested on suspicion of multiple driving offences following a police pursuit in Fintona yesterday (Wednesday, May 10).

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The District Support Team were out patrolling the roads around Fintona when a vehicle caught our attention.

"Blue lights and sirens weren’t enough for this driver, and after travelling at speeds of up to 90mph on single-track lanes, they eventually stopped, only to run off across fields.

"After a short foot pursuit, the driver was detained and arrested for multiple driving offences and an active bench warrant.

"The driver is currently in custody waiting [for] a date with the judge in the morning," added the PSNI spokesperson yesterday evening, Wednesday.
