Friday, April 28, saw the Erne Campus of South West College (SWC) opened its doors to more than 40 local crafters, producers and wellness professionals for the first ever "Fermanagh's Finest" showcase.

The event, organised by FDeg Hospitality and Tourism students, attracted more than 300 customers, who browsed the eclectic range of produce on display in a carnival atmosphere, with music provided by The Piano Man.

Many of those in attendance at the SWC evemt, both exhibitors and customers alike, are hoping that the event will become a regular feature.

Clodagh Swift, Event Management Tutor, was evidently very proud of her students, and she was delighted that their hard work was so well rewarded.

She said: "This has been a wonderful learning experience for these students and they have really stepped up to the challenge.

"They have demonstrated a level of ability and professionalism that will make them an asset to any employer."

The SWC event, which was free to attend, raised £825 for Action Mental Health through a raffle which featured a range of prizes sponsored by local businesses and many of the exhibitors in attendance.

All who attended were also entered into a free prize draw for an overnight stay with breakfast and an evening meal sponsored by Lough Erne Resort.

The students and their tutor are very appreciative of all the support from local producers and businesses as well as those that attended.
