Fermanagh and Omagh Community Safety Partnership, in conjunction with key emergency services providers, is hosting an Emergency Services Day to highlight and celebrate the work of the emergency services across the district.

The free event will take place at the Broadmeadow, Enniskillen on Sunday, May 28 from 2pm until 5pm and will be officially opened by Paul Blake, Chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh PCSP.

Speaking about the event, Paul said: "Fermanagh and Omagh PCSP is delighted to be working with our emergency services partners to once again highlight the invaluable service they provide across the district, much of which goes unseen and unheralded.

"I believe it is important that the community is aware of the importance of the work that they do. Collaboration between the PCSP and our partner organisations to promote community safety and education to the public is integral to the role of the PCSP.

"I would encourage as many people as possible to come along to this very worthwhile day.”

Visitors will have the opportunity to see at close quarters, the tremendous work undertaken by the emergency services in the district with demonstrations from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), Northern Ireland Mountain Rescue Team (NIMRT), the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS), Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) Trust and a special display by the PSNI’s Canine Display team.

Subject to operational requirements, the Coastguard and PSNI helicopters will also be in attendance on the day.
