Lisnaskea Historical Society are hosting this year’s Olde Tyme Market Day on the morning of Friday, June 9 in the Corn Market Yard, Lisnaskea Main Street, by kind permission of the Fairs and Markets, Lisnaskea.
The three primary schools in Lisnaskea will be bringing their wares to sell and take the money back for school funds.
The children – and maybe an adult or two – dress up in old-time clothes to create an atmosphere of the markets of the past, and also entertain with music and dance during the event, which runs from 10am to noon.
There will be many displays and demonstrations of old-world skills, too, including a wide range of heritage activities will be on display, including wool spinning, crochet crafts, beekeeping, woodworking, and more.
Entry is free and all are welcome to enjoy the morning for what promises to be a fun event for all, and not to be missed!
