Encirc, the glass manufacturer and bottle filler, that produces four billion glass containers for leading global brands every year, marked 25 years since the construction of its first plant in Derrylin in 1998 with a gala night for staff members at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen last Friday night.

Encirc, established in 1998 by Sean Quinn, is now part of the Spanish-based Vidrala Group and incorporates four sites in Northern Ireland, England and Italy.

The Derrylin factory employs over 500 people and Encirc employs around 2,200 people.

On Friday night staff members with over 20 years of unbroken service and partners attended a special function to mark the growth and success of the company in that time.

In addition, the entire staff of the company received special bottles of wine to mark the occasion with a specialised digital message for every employee from the directors of the company.

Each year Encric produces more than four billion glass containers for leading global brands, filling many of them for retail across the UK and Europe.

The company describes itself as a “forward-thinking manufacturer in a socially and environmentally conscious world”.

It says it endeavours to protect natural resources and the environment by minimising wastage and emissions “while promoting safe and ethical working practices”.

Managing Director, Adrian Curry told the assembled guests that remarkably the number of people with over 20 years of service and still with the company consisted of 25 per cent of the original workforce.
