People are being invited to take part in a three-day walking event that explores Fermanagh's landscapes while raising funds for a cancer charity.

The Fermanagh Camino will take place from April 6 to 8, 2025, and will see people walk 35 miles across Fermanagh to raise money for Cancer Connect NI.

The walk will start at Lough Derg in County Donegal and will travel through Boa Island, Edgewater, and Castle Archdale, before finishing in Enniskillen.

People can choose to walk the full 35 miles or join in on individual sections.

Phil McGrenaghan, from Cancer Connect NI, said: "We are delighted to introduce the Fermanagh Camino.

"This is not just a journey through our stunning landscapes—it’s a journey of hope and togetherness, uniting people to make a difference while exploring the heart of Fermanagh."

The walk will start on April 6 with a 13-mile walk from Lough Derg to Boa Island.

On April 7, people will walk 12 miles from Edgewater to Castle Archdale.

The final day, April 8, will be a 10-mile walk around Enniskillen.

Mr McGrenaghan said: "The success of the Fermanagh Camino would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors.

"We extend our deepest gratitude to Encirc, Future Renewables, Krazy Kabs, Nathan Carter, Enniskillen BID, McGovern Estate Agents, Tamlaght Auto Sales, and Lakeland Retail & Leisure Park.

"Their contributions are instrumental in bringing this event to life and ensuring its positive impact on the community."

Leo Nacer, from Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism, said: "The Fermanagh Camino highlights the unique blend of natural and cultural heritage our region has to offer.

"This event celebrates not only our stunning landscapes but also the spirit of community and connection that makes Fermanagh so special."

Registration is now open, with an early bird discount available until December 31.
