Gary Burke’s rink produced a superb performance in the final of the Gaby Gault Rinks competition to defeat Gary Brian’s rink and deservedly lift the title.
After a busy league season, Fermanagh Bowling League hosted the competition.
With eight rinks progressing through Alan Graham beat Michael McGrade 10 shots to 8 and Gary Burke beat David Dickson 8 shots to 4.
In the other section of the draw, Ian McElroy beat William Harpur 8 shots to 6 and Gary Brian beat David Graham 11 shots to 4.
The semi-finals ended up with victory for Gary Burke beating Alan Graham 9 shots to 3 and Gary Brian beating Ian McElroy 7 shots to 4.
The final was then battled out between Gary Brian and Gary Burke.
Burke opened the game with three shots in the first end and with the rink of Alan Browne, Trevor Morrison and Ivor Armstrong in top form they never looked back.
In the end they went on to win by 10 shots to nothing after six ends.
The Gaby Gault cup was presented to Gary’s rink.
A sincere thank you to all who helped run the Fermanagh League over the past year and those who assisted putting down and lifting mats for the final night.
