Erne Gaels 0-13 Tempo 1-05

Erne Gaels set up a meeting with Ederney in the Senior Football Championship semi-final following tonight's five point victory over Tempo in their quarter-final replay.

The Belleek side were to the fore in the first half with Ryan Lyons proving a handful for the Maguires defence at full forward although they were wasteful with a number of scoreable chances.

At the break Erne Gaels led 0-06 to 0-02 with Tommy McCaffrey, Ben McCann, Gareth Deery and Ultan Kelm all on target for them while Daryl Keenan landed two frees for Tempo.

Tempo though made a great start to the second half as PJ Rodgers pointed before Conor Meehan rounded off a flowing move by firing to the net to level the proceedings at 1-03 to 0-06.

The sides shared the next four points as Luke Ryder and Deery fired over Erne Gaels and Tiernan Bogue and Aidan Breen responded for Tempo.

This though was to be the final point for the Maguires and Erne Gaels hit five unasnwered points over the final quarter through Ryan Lyons, Ultan Kelm, Michael Og McGarrigle, Lyons again and Deery to seal their place in the last four.
