Tummery Athletic 3 NFC Kesh 0

Tummery Athletic retained the Mulhern Cup with a routine 3-0 victory over NFC Kesh in tonight's final at Ferney Park.

The Dromore outfit, who saw their league aspirations extingished on Monday night when they could only draw with Enniskillen Rangers, looked the more assured side from the start and with 24 minutes on the clock centre half Declan Molloy put them in front as he flicked flicked home from an Aidy McCaffrey corner.

And they doubled their advantage ten minutes into the second half. McCaffrey was again the provider as another corner was met by man of the match Blain Campbell at the back post and he headed to the back of the net.

Mark McCauley had a big chance to get Kesh back into the game but he blazed over in the 63rd minute and three minutes later Tummery put the game to bed with a superb strike from Emmet McNabb. The winger drove at the Kesh defence and as they backed off he let fly with stunnning effort that flew into the top corner.

From this Tummery were able to cruise to the finish as they rounded off deserving victors.

Attention now for Gerry Love and his charges will now switch to the Junior Cup final on Saturday May 18 although their opponents is still up in the air. Enniskillen Rangers have been reinstated in the competition at the expense of Bessbrook United who have been adjudged to have played an ineligible player.

However, Bessbrook are expected to appeal the decision with any appeal set to be heard on Wednesday.
