For many Maguiresbridge will be installed as firm favourites to make a speedy return to the Intermediate Championship.

The Bridge appear to have the strongest case for this year's Junior Championship.

They just missed out on a top four place in Division Two late on in the league campaign but with everybody available they have a squad capable of going the full way.

Ciaran Corrigan is the key man for the Bridge, with the Fermanagh player the one that makes them tick.

Around him he has forwards such as Daniel Teague, Luca McCusker and Caolan Duffy they will cause sides plenty of problems.

The use of Ryan Hyde at full forward at stages will also give them an aerial threat close to goal.

However they can expect a tough local derby against Brookeborough in the quarter-final.

Frank Greene's men have the capacity to give team a lot of bother with Conor Goodwin and Aidan Boyle dangerous up front, with James Toye further out the field able to pop up with crucial scores.

In the other quarter-final the bottom two sides in Division Two Coa and Derrylin face off. Both sides met in the semi-final last year and with Coa winning by four points.

Coa failed to pick up a single point in their league campaign but they did improve over the closing stages with the return of Eoin Donnelly a massive boost.

Alongside him, Coa will rely on Darren and Lee McQuade and Gary Lynch to do the bulk of their scoring if they are to make any inroads into this championship.

They face a Derrylin side who will take some confidence in their victory over Senior Championship side Belnaleck in the latter stages of the league.

Fergal McGovern and Barry Murray will be their biggest threats up front while Micheal Shannon and Daniel Leonard further out the field will provide a solid foundation to launch attacks.

The two first round winners will play in semi-final one. The two losers shall play-off in quarter-final three with the loser going out. The winner of quarter-final three shall play the loser of semi-final one. The winner of this game will play the winner of semi-final one in the Junior Final and the winners of that final will be promoted to the following year’s Intermediate Football Championship.
