NFC Kesh manager Scott Robinson is delighted to have added Nathan Cashel to his squad for next season.

Cashel, who returns to the club after impressing in the Championship for Ballinamallard, is one of four new signings by Robinson with the Kesh boss having his eye on another couple of additions ahead of the new campaign.

“I had been chatting to Nathan for a while and I knew he wanted to come back and and wants to do well for the club and we’re delighted to have him on board. He is going to have a coaching role for us as well which will be very beneficial while in terms of playing he brings real quality. He played against Dergview last week and he was excellent for us,” said Robinson.

Robinson has also added defender Niall McMenamin and goalkeeper Stefan McCusker along with attacker Jordan Breen.

“Stefan lives in Kesh and he is a big player who will give us great competition in goal while Niall has returned to the club from Lisnarick and we’re very pleased to have him back, he is a great lad who I’m looking forward to working with.

“We’ve also signed Jordan Breen and he will give us another option as well,” he added.

One player leaving the club though is Chris McDowell who has returned to Fivemiletown United.

“Fivemiletown is Chris’s club and he wanted to finish his career with them. He is a really good lad and we wish him well,” he said.

Robinson is hoping to add one or two more to his squad and in particular is looking for attacking options with Mark Jones set to take a step back.

“Mark has joined my backroom team and while he will still be available to play, I think he will play less next season so I would hope to get a striker in if possible and altogether I’m looking at adding one or two more and then look to bring a few young lads through.”

Kesh played Dergview in John Forsythe Cup last Saturday, losing 5-2 to the Championship side. Cashel and Jordan McClure scored the goals for Kesh on the day.
