The Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) investigation into licencing issues at Ballinamallard United have been concluded with 'no significant further action' required.

The club had been asked to provide NIFL with their observations on licencing issues back in May and following the investigation NIFL have made a number of recommendations for the club to implement but no penalty has been incurred by the club.

In a statement, Ballinamallard said:

"We are pleased to note that the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) have concluded their review of Ballinamallard United FC licencing and found that no significant further action is required. NIFL have made a small number of helpful recommendations in relation to the aspects they reviewed, which we are content to implement.
"Like most other local Clubs we are run by a group of volunteers and continually strive to stay on top of all the regulations. We will continue to work with the football authorities to ensure we maintain best practice and keep the sport of football to the fore at Ballinamallard United FC."

NIFL today announced that the Premiership and Championship have a provisional start date of Saturday October 17 and Ducks chairman Tom Elliott says they can now concentrate on planning for that.

"We are a football club and we are looking to concentrate on football and we're glad that we can get on with football. We can now get on with planning for the new season, "he said.
