Kinawley 2-08 Erne Gaels 1-09
First half goals from Aaron Tierney and Ruairi Corrigan were key as Kinawley saw off the challenge of Erne Gaels to secure their place in the Quinn Building Products SFC semi final.
The goals arrived in the opening quarter of this contest in Derrygonnelly as the Brian Borus opened up a 2-03 to 0-02 advantage but Erne Gaels responded well and a Seamus Ryder goal brought them back into it although at the break Kinawley led 2-04 to 1-03.
A Corrigan point on the restart pushed the gap out to five points but a dogged Erne Gaels dug in and Barry McCann and Paul Ward were among the points as the Belleek men closed to within two points, 2-06 to 1-07.
However, Kinawley replied with points from Sean McManus and Conor Murphy and although Gareth Deery hit two late points for Erne Gaels Kinawley were able to hold out to progress to the last four.
