The Fermanagh and Western season is officially over following the confirmation tonight that this season's Mulhern and Reihill Cups have been cancelled.
The Management Committee of the Fermanagh and Western Football Association released the following statement:
"The Management Committee of the Fermanagh & Western Football Association met this evening via Zoom to discuss this years Mulhern and Reihill Cup Competitions. It was the unanimous decision of those present that both competitions would not be scheduled this season. The ongoing restrictions in relation to the pandemic and the safety of players and officials must be our priority and it was felt that the only responsible option open to the Committee was to cancel both competitions. All clubs who had entered the 2020 competitions will have their entries held open for the 2021-22 season."
The Fermanagh and Western declared their league null and void at the end of November with most sides having played only four games.
Last week, the IFA cancelled this season's Junior Cup and now the local cup competitions have fallen by the wayside with the focus now switching to next season.
