In 1996, 14-year-old Leanne Woods, a member of the Enniskillen Triathlon and Athletics club, won double gold at the British Indoor Athletics Championships.

In weightlifting, Terry Moohan won four titles at the Ulster Powerlifting Championships in the U-16 section in 1991.

There was heartbreak for Skins, who suffered a 25-31 loss to Bangor in the Towns’ Cup final at the Kingspan Stadium in 2016, a second half comeback just coming up short for the Mullaghmeen men.

In GAA, Fermanagh Ladies came from nine points down with 20 minutes to go to secure a draw against Down in Brewster Park in the league.

Lisbellaw were crowned Fermanagh and Western Division Two champions with victory over Enniskillen Rangers in 2006.

In motorsport, 11-year-old, Josh Elliott got his 2006 Minimoto season off to a winning start at Nutts Corner, while in 2011, Alastair Fisher was denied victory in the opening round of the World Rally Championship Academy in Portugal by an accident on the penultimate stage.
