Fermanagh 2-13 Antrim 0-10

Fermanagh booked their place in the semi-final of the U20 Ulster Championship following a nine-point victory over Antrim at Brewster Park this evening, Friday.

A goal in either half killed off the Saffron challenge who missed influential duo, Conor Stewart and Pat Shivers.

Fermanagh got off to a blistering start as they hit a goal and a point within the first three minutes.

Midfielder Joe McDade opened the score with a point and this was quickly followed by a goal from captain Josh Largo-Elis.

A lovely through ball from Ronan McCaffrey put Largo-Elis through and his shot nestled in the top corner.

Darragh McBrien converted a free to make it a six-point game and it was the 10th minute when Eoin Hynds lofted over a free for Antrim's first score.

McBrien got his first point from play but this was followed by a Fergal Henry point and a free from distance from keeper Luke Mulholland to make it 1-03 to 0-03 at the water break.

Conor Love probably should have Fermanagh's second goal after he dispossessed his man and drove for goal. However, Mulholland made a good save with his feet and the chance was gone.

Oisin Doherty cut the gap to two for Antrim before Conor Love was to hit three frees on the bounce to make it 1-06 to 0-04.

Doherty had the last say of the half with a score that went over with help from the upright to leave it 1-06 to 0-05 at the break.

Niall Burns got the first point of the second half for Antrim with Fermanagh replying through Diarmuid King.

Centre back Aaron McManus hit two scores for Fermanagh on either side of a Doherty point.

Sean Duffin and Love swapped scores before Fermanagh put the game to bed.

McBrien was dragged down in the square after being played in by Josh Largo-Elis.

McBrien stepped up to hit the penalty which was saved by Mulholland but the full-forward reacted quickest to fire the rebound to the net to make it 2-10 to 0-08.

The winners saw out the remainder of the tie with three points from Love while Paddy McLaughlin and Eoin Matasa hit consolation scores for the Saffrons.
