Ballinamallard United 2 Knockbreda 0
Ballinamallard United moved to within four points of leaders Newry City with a 2-0 win over Knockbreda at Ferney Park today.
A goal in either half from Josh McIlwaine and BJ Banda deservedly gave the Ducks the points as they backed up last week's victory away to the leaders.
McIlwaine put the Mallards ahead in the 25th minute when he beat Knockbreda goalkeeper Lewis Deane to a Jason McCartney cross to head home.
And Banda doubled the lead ten minutes into the second half. McIlwaine headed McCartney's deep cross back across the goal and the striker brought his season tally to ten by nodding home.
Next up for Ballinamallard is a home game against Loughgall next Saturday.
