Enniskillen Athletic Boxing Club senior boxer Dylan Bogue triumphed in the Ulster Senior Championship last week.

Dylan was given a tough draw to start with having to compete in the quarter finals on the Wednesday where he overcome a tough opponent from Star of the Sea Boxing Club with a unanimous decision victory.

The following day he was drawn against tournament favourite from Holy Trinity Boxing Club in Belfast.

His sheer aggression and front foot pressure gave him a split decision victory.

It was the final the day after and Dylan saved his best performance for this, with vicious body shots he took the victory via third round TKO against a hard hitting boxer from Carrigart.

It was Dylan’s first senior title and the club’s first senior title also.

There was excellent heart and commitment shown by Dylan all week to be able to compete in three successive days.

The club now competes this week in the Ulster Championships where the 11 and 12 year old boxers will try and match Dylan’s fantastic achievements.

Mark Gaffney, the club’s head coach said: “It’s been a fantastic start to the season for club from the winning boxers in England a fortnight ago to now Dylan’s title.

“We have so many talented boxers at the club that myself and the other trainers are excited by this season and we know we will have a flurry of medals and titles by the end of it.”
