The Enniskillen U-21 side put in some fantastic performances on Easter Monday to reach the final of the Goldsborough trophy, hosted at Instonians RFC in Belfast.

This side has had a stellar season and really put the club on the map in this age group, punching above their weight and taking the spoils against some of Ulster’s biggest Senior clubs, and this was to be no different.

Skins had their work cut out with players missing, fielding only a squad of 17 with multiple fixtures ahead.

In the group stages the boys managed wins over Suttonians and Bangor, before narrowly losing to the hosts, Inst, and setting up a semi-final against Armagh, who had dominated the group stages and were tipped to win the tournament.

Enniskillen had other ideas and they pulled out an unbelievable performance and a savage defensive display to send Armagh home and book a place in the final.

Unfortunately, the small squad were battered and bruised at this stage after a lot of rugby, and they were clearly exhausted going into final, and hosts Instonians took the spoils in the end.

It was another great display from the 21s who now look to host Banbridge on Friday at 7.30pm.
