Four crews from Enniskillen Royal Boat Club will travel to compete at the National Schools Regatta at Eton Dorney this weekend where they will come up against the best young rowers in the United Kingdom.

All in all, it will be three days of intense competition for the Boat Club crews, starting on Friday with the two Junior 14 Octuple Sculls crews

They are the Girls’ J14 8x+ – Windrush Trophy for Junior 14 Octuple Sculls – Rhea Cartin McCloskey, Erin Trimble, Errie Powell, Hannah Armstrong, Zara Welsh, Molly Rice, Naomi Robinson, Jessica Thompson and Zara Lindsay (cox).

Some 24 crews will take part in time trials on Friday at 2pm, with the first six going to the A Final, and the next six to the B Final which takes place later in the afternoon

The Men’s J14 8X+ crew to compete in the Cherwell Cup for Junior 14 Octuple Sculls is Ryan Topping, Luke Bailey, Eoghan Campbell, Lorcan Sreenivasan, Christian Timoney, Austin Cassidy, Andrew Cuthbertson, Evan Donaghy and Harry Coalter (cox).

They face a time trial at 1.35pm against 25 crews, including Westminster School, Windsor Boys School, and St. Paul’s School BC.

On Saturday, the Boys’ 1st eight will compete in The Queen Mother’s Cup for Championship Eights. The crew is Luke Paton, Marcus Davis Kunze, Oran Harty, Nathan Kelly, Tim Murphy, Charlie Smith, Lewis Nixon, Tom Blake and Frankie Reihill (cox).

They will come up against 25 crews, including Eton College, King’s College School, Wimbledon, Abington School and St. Joseph’s School Galway.

The Boys Quad will row in the Forest Cup for Championship Quadruple Sculls. The crew of Kyle Abraham, Callum Timoney, John O’Kane and Conor Richardson will be up against 33 crews, including crews from Henley RC, Methodist College, Belfast and King’s School Chester.
