Enniskillen Royal Boat Club’s Girls first eight are competing at Henley Women’s Regatta this weekend.
The crew of Niamh Campbell, Laura Turner, Acorn Cassidy, Katie Donnelly, Aine McCaffrey, Chloe Thompson, Martha McBrien, Rachel Cullinan and cox Grace Ralph will be contesting the Peabody Cup which is for Junior Eights.
In all, 21 crews will take part in the Time trial on Saturday morning starting at 9.50am with 12 crews progressing to the next stages.
Eight crews will then race in four side by side knock out races on Saturday afternoon at 2.27pm with four seeded crews receiving a bye to Sunday’s racing. Crews include last year’s winners Headington School and the Schools Head of the River winners, Henley RC.
The girls, who are crew number 465, are the current Irish Junior Champions and will be hoping to go far in the prestigious competition this year.
