The popular Enniskillen Spooktacular 5K will return for the first time since 2019, with the race set to take place on Friday, October 28 (at 8pm) – and Race Co-Ordinator Dessie Elton says they expect a large turn-out for the tenth anniversary of the race.
The Spooktacular is the largest night-time race in Ireland and Elton says that people are excited about it being back on the calendar, having not taken place in the past two years due to Covid-19.
“It is great to have it back and people are really looking forward to it.
“We won’t have a problem getting 1,500 entrants for it and it will likely be capped at that,” said Elton.
This year’s race was launched on Monday night and Elton was quick to thank the main sponsors for their commitment to the popular event.
“We are very grateful for the support of Nature’s Choice, Western Cars and Murdock’s,” he said.
The Spooktacular offers something for everybody, from the elite runner to the fun runner and those taking part for charity, and Elton says it will take place over the same course as the past couple of years.
“It will be the same course that we used for the last two years of the Spooktacular, and it is a nice, challenging run,” he added.
