Lisbellaw United unveiled their new stand at the Drumad last Saturday with a well known figure in the Irish League officially opening the stand. David Jeffrey MBE cut the ribbon as he and his Ballymena United team travelled down to Fermanagh for the day.

The Irish Premier League side took on the hosts in a pre-season friendly in front of over 300 spectators including those in the 104 seater stand.

In an excellent encounter, Ballymena raced into a 3-0 lead with goals from Jordan Gibson and Ross Redman. All goals coming from set-pieces.

And while it was backs to the wall stuff for Lisbellaw for large parts of the first half, a superb second half performance saw Scott Moutray and Lewis Vance find the net and ensure the players came away from the game with their head held high, 3-2.

Club Chaplin Reverend William Jeffrey, Lisbellaw Church of Ireland dedicated the stand with a prayer and a few words and a barbecue was provided by Hot Rocks BBQ.
