Enniskillen Royal Boat Club got their season off to a great start last weekend with seven wins at St. Michael’s Head of the River on the River Shannon in Limerick.

There was a great win for WJ18 4- of Laura Turner, Acorn Cassidy, Rachel Cullinan and Chloe Thompson over St. Michael’s in a time of 12.11.9 while the WJ15 8X+ Enniskillen B crew of Rachel Cathcart, Amy Lipscomb, Annabelle Kingston, Annie Fowler, Daisy O’Hare, Milena Remedios, Evie McGarry, Kate Huddlestone and Cox Molly Rice overcame the challenge from St. Michael’s in a time of 13.23.9.

The MJ14 8X+ B crew of Luke Bailey, Jake Sembhi, Andrew Cuthbertson, Christian Timoney, Lorcan Sreenivasan, Austin Cassidy, Ryan Topping, Ethan Downey and Cox Harry Coalter took first place over the C crew in a time of 11.05.5.

There was further success for the WJ14 8X+ crew of Isabella Wright, Natalie Turner, Grace Collins, Jessica Kingston, Errie Carty, Abbey Johnston, Jessica Thompson and Cox Erin Trimble who enjoyed a14 second win over the home crew from St Michael’s .

The MJ14 4X crew, consisting of Christian Timoney, Lorcan Sreenivasan, Evan Donaghy, Austin Cassidy and Cox Abbey Wilson took the win over the two crews from St Michael’s while the MJ15 8X+ of Charlie Lynn, Eoghan Campbell, Justin Smith, Joe Murphy, Owen Kelly, Hugo McChesney, George Kernaghan and Cox Iain Fleming

claimed the win over Muckross RC in a time of 11.16.4 over the 3.4 Km course.

And there was a 15 second win for the MJ16 4X+ crew of William Bogle, Oliver Khew, Jacob Halliday, Rory Keogh and Cox Katelyn Fee

against Athlunkard.

The Lagan Head of the River is next for the rowers with this season’s new rowers getting their first experience of racing for Enniskillen Royal Boat Club.
