Fermanagh manager Kieran Donnelly felt his side 'had to win the game two or three times' but was pleased with the response of his players as they saw off Leitrim in Carrick-on-Shannon in theirt second Tailteann Cup group game on Saturday evening.
Fermanagh were cruising at half time as a Ryan Lyons goal helped them into a 1-09 to 0-04 lead.
But Leitrim struck two quickfire goals at the start of the second half to get right back in contention.
However, Fermanagh regained the upperhand after this as they landed a series of scores to run out nine point victors, 1-19 to 2-07.
