Four local girls have been playing for Ulster in the Ladies U18 Sevens team.

Ellie Rix, Ellie Ingram from Enniskillen RFC and Katie Hetherington, Vicki Graham from Clogher Valley all received the call up to represent Ulster in the three series games in Portarlington and Westmanstown in Dublin.

The series got off to a disappointing start in Portarlington but picked up in Westmanstown with a narrow defeat to Leinster and Connacht but they went on to beat Munster as each match showed a marked improvement.

Ellie Ingram leading the team as captain is becoming known for her weaving runs through the opposition, whereas her Enniskillen teammate takes the direct route through and often over the top of the opponents.

Vicki Graham is finding her speed again after a 16-month lay off due to injury and is scoring some great tries out on the wing.

Katie Hetherington is ferocious in defence and will not let anything past her, regardless of size. The final matches are again being played on Saturday, May 6 at Westmanstown. With the improvement in the standard of play, a three match win over the other provinces is not out of the question.
