We have recently secured funding from the Big Lottery
Fund for the following position:
Position: Social Prescriber
Responsible for working closely with community partners,
GP practices and other healthcare professionals, the Social
Prescriber will provide a pathway for patients from the
health service to Community and Voluntary Provision
The successful candidate will have:
➢ An appropriate third level qualification in a
health/community/social sciences subject and 24 months
experience implementing programmes in community or
health
or
➢ Minimum of 3 years experience of implementing
programmes in community or health
Gross Salary (NJC Scale 6 Pt 26 £23,866 pro rata)
at 16 hrs per week
Potential may exist in future for extending these hours.

which is accessed by the local community. We require a focused individual with the necessary
personal qualities, skills and experience to take ownership and responsibility for the day to day
running of the Company. Salary for this role will be commensurate with the experience of the
individual appointed.
Responsibilities in this role will include:
• Full accountability to the Board of Directors for the efficient and effective financial and
commercial running of the Lisnaskea Business Complex and Lough Head facility;
• Supporting the Board by ensuring that the operating and financial plans are upheld
through achievement of KPI’s;
• Continuously promoting, improving and developing the facilities and business processes of
the Company in line with local enterprise and economic development support requirements;
• Ensuring the Board of Directors (who operate on a voluntary basis) are kept fully informed
through monthly Board meetings and scheduled reports.
• Identifying, implementing and maintaining business improvement processes.
Personal Requirements;
• Education to third level and preferably within a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of three years continuous management experience within the last ten years
including Economic Development, Local Enterprise and Project Management. Whilst not
essential, experience in Tendering would be advantageous.
• Effective communication skills, including presentation skills (with MS Powerpoint) and
report writing to support funding applications. Interpersonal skills with the ability to
establish and maintain positive relationships with the local economic development sector,
funding bodies, tenants, clients and the public;
• Flexible approach to work and working hours to meet the operational needs of the business;
• Capable and proactive in identifying and implementing improvements in the operations of
the business. Capable and proactive in identifying changing trends or emerging problems
within the business and addressing these in a timely manner to minimise the impact.
• Good financial and administration management skills with an ability to understand and
manage budgets, invoice tenants and process supplier payments making use of IT
(including MS Excel) to support this process.
