RIVERBANK Productions present a fantastic family show in ‘The Adventures Of Robin Hood’ at The Ardhowen next Wednesday, Colin Geddis delivers some strictly adult-only stand-up comedy in the Gallery Bar on Friday, May 22, and on Saturday, May 23, the Donaghadee Male Voice Choir will entertain the audience with an evening of fabulous music.
THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD From the company that brought ‘The Wind In The Willows’, ‘Jungle Book’ and ‘Pinnochio’ comes a story from the days of legend and heroes. In ‘The Adventures of Robin Hood’ Riverbank Productions will transport the audience back in time to Sherwood Forest where Robin must team up with Friar Tuck, Will Scarlett and Little John to defeat his enemy, the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. Robin steals from the rich, gives to the poor, and wins the heart of Maid Marion.
With many years experience in children’s theatre, Riverbank Productions create perfect family shows based on works of classic children’s literature. Enjoy exciting swordplay, fast action, catchy brand new sing-along songs, puppets and humour in this wonderful family show on Wednesday 20th May with performances at 10.30am and 7pm. ‘The Adventures of Robin Hood’ will delight children aged four to nine years and there is a special Family Ticket available for the evening performance.
COLIN GEDDIS Colin Geddis, creator and star of ‘Gedzilla Films’ and ‘The Colin Geddis Show’ Podcast returns to The Ardhowen Theatre Gallery Bar with his brand new hilariously inappropriate stand-up comedy show.
The internet sensation and YouTube star, responsible for introducing the world to Barry ‘The Blender’ Henderson, takes to the stage for some side-splitting stand-up comedy on Friday, May 22, at 9pm. Patrons please note, as this is stand-up comedy, the content of this event may contain material that some people could find offensive and is only suitable for over 18s.
DONAGHADEE MALE VOICE CHOIR Founded in 1932, Donaghadee Male Voice Choir has over 70 members and its repertoire embraces both sacred and secular music including popular, folk, traditional and operatic works. Robert Wilson MBE, who was decorated for his services to music, has been Musical Director since 1968.
Donaghadee Male Voice Choir is known internationally having competed in choral festivals as far afield as Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Malta, Poland and Spain as well as in the UK and Ireland, amassing a total of 46 first places. The Choir has toured Canada and the USA performing in Carnegie Hall and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York and they have also made numerous recordings.
The Donaghadee Male Voice Choir performs at The Ardhowen on Saturday, May 23, at 8pm with accompanist Ivan Black and compere Gene Fitzpatrick.
A BIT ON THE SUNNY SIDE Ireland’s most dysfunctional couple, the Murphy’s, are at it again! Join Bridie, Willie, Cynthia and Dick in sunny Spain for another hilarious comedy farce! ‘A Bit On The Sunny Side’ sees the four hapless holidaymakers stumble unwittingly from one crisis to another!
Donegal-based comedian Conal Gallen has become one of Ireland’s most popular performers of the past 30 years.
After the massive success of their first play ‘A Bit On The Side’, Conal Gallen and his son Rory have teamed up once again to produce another comedy masterpiece. Conal and the gang perform ‘A Bit On The Sunny Side’ on Tuesday, May 26, at 8pm.
It’s pure fun, laughter and craic from start to finish! Early booking is strongly advised and patrons should please note, this show is recommended for ages 16 years and over.
