EAMON CORRIGAN
CORRIGAN Eamon Aghamore, Boho 12th March 2024 We the family of the late Eamon Corrigan would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through Eamon's illness and death. We are so grateful to our extended families, the good friends and neighbours and members of the community who supported us in so many ways during our sad bereavement. Grateful thanks to all who attended the wake, funeral, sent Mass and Sympathy cards, left messages online, sent flowers and lined the funeral route. A special word of thanks to Bernie, Clara, Louise, and Kathleen who brought so much home- made food to us when it was most needed. We are also very grateful to our family and friends who managed the traffic at the house during the wake. We were very gratified to see so many former and present staff of NIE at the wake and funeral. Eamon was blessed to have been visited by a number of priests during his illness. We are grateful to Canon Jimmy Mc Phillips, Fr Seamus Quinn, Fr Niall Martin, Fr Raymond Donnelly and in particular to Fr Cathal Deery PP for his spiritual support and for conducting the beautiful Requiem Mass. We are so grateful to Sheena Dolan for the beautiful singing and music during the Mass and her father Francis Rasdale for joining her in some traditional music at the end. A special word of thanks to Fr Seamus for playing a beautiful slow air at the graveside. We thank John Corrigan and Bernard Carty for carrying out the funeral arrangements in such a dignified and professional manner, the gravediggers and the Sacristan in St Patrick's church. We also thank the principals and staff of St Joseph's College and Killyhommon PS as well as members of the board of governors of Killyhommon for forming a guard of Honour at the church. We would also like to thank Norman Coalter and his staff for providing welcome refreshments afterwards and Boho Community Association for preparing the hall for the meal. Eamon received wonderful care from the NHS during his final illness. Words cannot express our gratitude to Monica and her District Nursing team - Lisa, Rosie, Aisling and especially Charlotte, who was with him so much in his last days; the Palliative care nurses - Sara, Orla and Carla for their kindness and support and the wonderful Marie Curie nurses - Andrina, Primrose, Heather, Mary and Julie who provided such badly-needed support to the family during the last difficult weeks. We are also grateful to the doctors and staff of Ward 1 SWAH, Dr Mulligan GP and pharmacist Geoffrey Cathcart for their care and attention and the carers who treated him with such dignity and compassion. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a gesture of our gratitude. A special word of thanks to all who donated to Marie Curie in lieu of flowers, raising a total of £860. Eamon's Month's Memory Mass will take place at 10am on Sunday 21st April in the Immaculate Conception Church, Monea.
