THE two men arrested in connection with a security alert in Fintona on Tuesday this week have been charged with Theft and Going Equipped for Theft The men, aged 33 and 45, are due to appear at Omagh Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 13 after they were charged last night (Wednesday) by Detectives from Serious Crime Branch.
A number of homes were evacuated on the Corbally Road area of Fintona on Tuesday after police officers, having stopped a Transit van, discovered a what is believed to be a quantity of fertilizer.
ATO were tasked to examine the van and police conducted a search and security operation involving officers from F District and Crime Operations Department.
The Tattymoyle Road between Fintona and Tempo was closed for some time on Tuesday during the security alert.
