Patients at South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) may experience delays next week as radiographers go on strike.
Members of the Society of Radiographers will be participating in a week of industrial action beginning on Monday, October 20..
A spokesperson for the Western Health and Social Care Trust said: "There will be a four hour stoppage on Monday, October 20 from 9am to 1pm. Therefore a limited range of radiology services will be available to patients. During this time urgent and emergency examinations will still be carried out. Patients who had appointments for the morning of Monday 20 October have been contacted directly to rearrange these".
“Management and staff are working closely with local trade union representatives to minimise any disruption to services during the planned industrial action. Essential services will be maintained throughout the period of action.
“Patients may experience some delays throughout the week of industrial action.”
