A MAN has been taken to hospital for treatment after being rescued from the River Erne in Enniskillen this morning, the PSNI have confirmed.
Police say they received a report at around 10.30am this morning that a man had been seen being “washed down” with the river close to Portora Wharf in Enniskillen, from the direction of the West Bridge.
Inspector Rory Hoy said: “Emergency services were tasked, along with the police boat. He was recovered into the police boat and was brought to shore.
Inspector Hoy added: “He has been conveyed to hospital for treatment.”
