A CAR went on fire in the Old Junction Road area of Irvinestown after colliding with a tree at the weekend.
Firefighters from Irvinestown were deployed to the scene after receiving a report of a car on fire at around 9.20pm on Sunday.
They found the car “well alight” following a collision with a tree in the area.
No one was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. The fire crew was finished at the scene at 10.05pm.
A Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) spokesman said today (Thursday) that the cause of the blaze was still under investigation.
“The incident has been passed through to the Police Service of Northern Ireland,” the spokesman added.
