Enniskillen rower Holly Nixon, who rows for Great Britain, claimed a bronze medal today at the 2017 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota-Bradenton in Florida.
The former Portora Boat Club member was competing in the Women's Quad Scull alongside crew members Beth Bryan, Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne and Jess Leyden.
Following a great row, the crew that won bronze in the European Championships, finished third to the Netherlands and Poland in a time of 6 mins 19.330 seconds.
The performance was hailed as putting women's rowing back on the sculling (using two oars) world stage and the deligted quartet took to social media to post pictures of themselves with their medals.
The bronze medal adds to her collection including the gold she won at the World Championships in Rotterdam last year and places her as one of Fermanagh's most successful ever.
