Eden Project Communities has five places available for people in the south west quarter of Northern Ireland at an upcoming community camp at the Eden Project in Cornwall, from October 27 to 30, 2017.

The camp is an intensive three-day weekend at the Eden project with about 60 community organisers and big lunchers of all ages and backgrounds who have a community idea or want support to take their project to the next level.

A representative explained: “It is all fully funded including travel, food and accommodation thanks to the Big Lottery Fund. In the past Fermanagh people, Olivia Cosgrove of Row the Erne has attended the camp, and a handful of others and we would like to invite other Fermanagh people to join our network of supportive community organisers.”

She added that they are "inviting applications from people who want to do something in their community and who are likely to thrive and make things happen with the right support.”

The representative proposes: “If you know someone who is a community organiser and could do with a spark and a support network, please encourage them to apply.”

The closing date is Friday, October 6. For information on the camps, people can go to: https://www.edenprojectcommunities.com/community-camps
